Blackboard

Tuition reports and projections are available via Blackboard Learn.  As a reminder, the material on Blackboard contains sensitive information, including student names and UIN numbers. This information is protected under the guidelines of FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974) and the University is legally and ethically obligated to protect the confidentiality of student records. Student data may be used only as required for fulfilling officially assigned University responsibilities; this data may be shared among University staff as necessary to carry out those responsibilities. Additional information about FERPA can be found at the FERPA tutorial; please take the time to review the information from this website.

Instructions on how to login and locate files are listed below:

ACCESSING TUITION REPORTS VIA BLACKBOARD

  1. Go to blackboard.uic.edu
  2. Login using your Netid and password
  3. Once logged in, click on Content System (top right of page)
  4. Off to the left, click on Group WebDisks
  5. Click on the + sign next to institution
  6. Click on the + sign next to depts.
  7. Click on the BPA directory
  8. There will be sub-directory folders with the various reports (e.g. Tuition spreadsheets and RA Tuition Remission files) (Folder: FY 15 Budget Planning: FY 2015 Preliminary Tuition Revenue Report)

Once done, make sure you log out (these files contain sensitive student data and should always be protected). Whenever you walk away from the computer, you should ensure that these files are never left open). If you are unable to access the folder, or need additional access please contact Nilton Garcia.
